Feel at home

What happens when I get older and can’t cope as well as now?
The Hollies will endeavour to provide you with a home for life. Our staff is skilled and trained at providing for your changing needs. As you get older, and perhaps more frail, we will be there to help, never intrusive, but always there for you and your needs. Each client has a “Care Plan” covering physical care needs. This is amended daily and carefully reviewed weekly, and changes in client requirements properly provided for.

Can I afford it, and will social services help me?
The Hollies is a private fee paying residential home. Regulations regarding the assistance you may be entitled to from Social Services are complicated and our manager will be happy to explain the principles involved. The fees at The Hollies are in keeping with the very high standards of care and comfort we offer.

What do I do if I want to try a short period at The Hollies, without a commitment?
The home accommodates our clients on a permanent basis. However, we are sometimes able to arrange short respite care and holiday breaks, so that you can see if you would like to join us as a resident, or just for “a change of air”

Will I still be able to play my weekly game of “gin rummy”?
We offer a full range of entertainment and social events, and will actively promote your pastimes, interests and hobbies.

Can I still go to church?
We encourage our residents to continue the widest range of social activities and maintain close links with church and religious organisations who will be happy to assist you. Local churches regularly visit the home, and services are held here.

I am interested in meeting with you, what do I do now?
Please make contact with us. We would be delighted to talk with you and your relatives without any pressure or obligation.
