    Our Team Leader Training

As part of our ongoing commitment to training our staff and the development and enhancement of individual skills, all our supervisors are offered a course of study structured by North Herts College band designed to include training in all aspects of management performance that can be expected of employees involved in “team leadership”. This training is practical work based study, and leads, on completion, to the award of an NVQ qualification in Team Leadership.

    Our "Learning Champion"

Each employee has a regular series of supervision and appraisal reviews with the home manager, Debbie Mason, in which performance is monitored and training needs identified.

So as to ensure that training needs are properly identified and sourced, we have appointed one of our senior supervisors to undertake the role of “Learning Champion” for our staff team. The “Learning Champion” is responsible for considering and assessing the development needs of the business and of individual employees, and to source solutions to meet these needs through the provision of appropriate training and work based learning.

A course of study specific has been structured to consolidate this role, and will augment the commitment shown by the business to the training and development of our staff and the provision of “best practice” to our clients.
